Description: The Particle Beam Optics Laboratory (PBO Lab) is a graphic user interface environment developed for use in the design and analysis of particle optics systems and accelerator beam lines. The PSI-TURTLE Module requires the PBO Lab 3.1 Basic Package, and provides a fully integrated Graphic-Turtle computation engine module. The PBO Lab 3.1 Basic Package is summarized in a separate Product Specification. Graphic-Turtle is a FORTRAN program for a specialized version of TURTLE (Trace Unlimited Rays Through Lumped Elements) developed at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI). The PSI-TURTLE Module is a multi-particle simulation program that can trace several million particles through beamlines and material scatterers. The PBO Lab Basic Package and add-on Application Modules are based on the Multi-Platform Shell for Particle Accelerator Related Codes (S.P.A.R.C. MP) software technology. .
